The subsekt collective have voted on the 2nd release for the label: Poolway from subsekt Alumni - Bussa.With a strong release on Singularity recordings under his belt, Bussa provides another tough house EP, crashing the classic and modern together for a wonderful suite of melodic house with a real biting warehouse vibe.Sweaty New York and Chicago vibes with an undercoat of Birmingham grit all expressed through the artists own unique sound.
In the artists own words.
"About the sounds, they were kind of inspired by the places that I used to go in Birmingham, and how I used to come home from school at the weekends at 15-17, stay with my Granny. She would give me 20 quid and I'd be out all fucking night, listening to house, then catch the first bus back. This was round about '95.
All those places are now gone. They even knocked down the shit-hole shopping precinct that I spent a lot of my childhood. Lots of memories of this place, violence, poverty, pound shops, the chip shop, the anti Irish graffiti in which they managed spelled Irish wrong."
